Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are officially married after a decade together!
The couple confirmed the news on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a photo of their hands resting together, both wearing gold wedding bands. The image drew more than 16 million likes within hours of being posted.
The wedding took place in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, a coastal town near Lisbon, according to Ronaldo’s management. The wedding may have taken place at Ronaldo’s own Quinta da Marinha estate near Cascais, a roughly 12,000-square-meter property with eight bedrooms, since holding it there would have kept the event away from cameras. Their five children were present.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez met in 2016 at a Gucci store in Madrid, where she worked at the time. He was playing for Real Madrid. The couple has been together for nearly ten years.
Their engagement was announced exactly one year earlier, on August 11, 2025, when Rodríguez posted a photo of a ring on Instagram. She wrote, “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives,” in Spanish.

British broadcaster Piers Morgan, a friend of the couple, posted his congratulations on X. “They’re a great couple, and I wish them a long and happy marriage together,” he wrote.
Ronaldo, 41, has played for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Al Nassr, where he currently plays in Saudi Arabia. He has scored close to 1,000 career goals and has won the Ballon d’Or five times. He recently appeared in his sixth World Cup, a men’s record he shares with Lionel Messi.
