The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) talked about how important it is to help people learn new things, which they say is really important for making the economy stronger.
They had a meeting in Ota, Ogun State, where they brought together important people from different industries, government, schools, and the media to talk about how to help people get better skills for the future.
At the meeting, Mrs. Bolanle O. Ajibade, who works for ITF, talked about what the organization does.
She said ITF works to help people in Nigeria learn useful skills that can help them get jobs.
They have different programs like NISDP, FEGOSEP, STEPP-C, CONSEP, WOSEP, and AGSEP to help young people in Nigeria learn skills like welding, carpentry, farming, and more.
They also have a program called SUPA to teach artisans new skills using technology and give them tools they need to do their work better.
ITF is also helping 100 people from Ogun State learn skills like welding and farming, and they will get certificates when they finish. This will help them find jobs or start their own businesses.
They also work with other organizations to make sure people with skills can work anywhere in Nigeria or even in other countries.
Mr. Adebowale Oyeneye, who works for the government, talked about how important it is to invest in education, help people learn new things, support small businesses, and work together to make sure everyone has a chance to succeed.
After the meeting, people from different companies like Crownpack Ltd. and Honda said they liked what ITF is doing because it helps everyone learn from each other and get better at their jobs. They think ITF should do more programs like this to help even more people.
The meeting was a good opportunity for everyone to talk about how to help people get better skills for the future, and ITF’s work shows they are committed to making Nigeria’s workforce stronger.
