Charlotte, the ex-girlfriend of Nigerian-New Zealand boxer Israel Adesanya, has been ordered by the court to pay him $500,000.
Reports reveal that although Charlotte and Israel never married or had children, she took him to court after their breakup, demanding half of his estimated $15 million fortune. She argued that their year-long relationship was lengthy enough that he should have married her.
After a year-long investigation, the court ruled in her favor — granting her half of Israel’s wealth. However, it was discovered that Israel’s net worth is $0 and that he has never owned a bank account.
Given that Charlotte is reportedly worth $1 million — making her financially stronger than Israel — the court ordered that her own money be split equally, leaving Israel with $500,000.
It is alleged that Israel’s entire $15 million fortune is managed by his mother, Taiwo, who has overseen his finances since the start of his career.
