The Super Eagles of Nigeria have called on Paul Onuachu as a replacement for injured Real Sociedad forward Sadiq Umar. Paul, who is on loan at Turkish club Trabzonspor from Southampton, is the third player to be called following consecutive injuries rocking the camp of the Eagles.
According to the Super Eagles, Sadiq suffered an undisclosed injury.

With Kelechi Iheanacho not fully fit, Sadiq Umar is the third player to be replaced in the 25-man squad for the 2023 AFCON tournament due to injuries. Wilfred Ndidi and Bayer Leverkusen’s frontman had pulled out from the team before now.
Terem Moffi, Alhassan and Paul Onuachu become the latest additions to the team.
