The current calm atmosphere in the house was suddenly disturbed by an unanticipated argument between the HoH and Finalist HoH, Ilebaye, and Venita. The underlying dispute erupted during the planning of their task. Ilebaye was accused of not giving enough by Venita.
Venita assumed responsibility for conceptualizing the task’s ideas after being given the assignment to organize a debate. She rapidly became irritated with Ilebaye’s input, which she felt was lacking. They engaged in heated conversation that nearly derailed their planning when this animosity erupted.
Ilebaye has previously been accused of failing to contribute her fair share to household duties. She has to make sure that everyone in the house is actively participating in weekly wagers and housework as the current HoH. She got up early to finish her chores by herself, and she afterwards persuaded the other housemates to finish the jobs they had been given while emphasizing that such carelessness should not happen again.
Despite their on-going conflict, Ilebaye and Venita were able to put it aside for the sake of their team’s success in the debating task. When they were declared the winners, their amazing performance was greeted with joy. But even after doing the assignment, there was still tension between the two.
The tension in the house persisted after the task winner was announced. Ilebaye urged everyone to be ready for the weekly wager because she wanted to keep things moving. Then Venita said, “I’m going to eat my dinner first.” This comment made it readily obvious that she would not be taking part in the coming task any time soon.
Venita’s unwillingness to help with the assignment creates a crucial conundrum. She is without a doubt the task’s creative power; throughout task preparation, she played a key role in bringing the housemates’ ideas to reality. The group’s chances of success may be severely hampered by her absence, especially if she doesn’t make any creative contributions.
Will Venita really refuse to do the task, possibly having a major impact on not only her but also the entire house and the outcome of their wager?
