He recounted how he found himself in a dire situation, lined up with others for execution. In a desperate moment, he made a promise to serve God if he was saved—and miraculously, he was.

In a recent interview with Channels TV, Buchi opened up about his troubled past, which included working as a nightclub DJ, being a university lecturer, and being involved in campus confraternities, drug abuse, and violence. He said that these experiences shaped his music, pushing him to create songs with a message of change.

Reflecting on his journey, Buchi explained, “All those experiences influenced the kind of songs I create, touching on themes like gun-running and violence.” He even authored a book called “My Weed And I,” shedding light on the dangers of substance abuse.

But it was a life-or-death moment that truly transformed Buchi’s path. Facing imminent execution, he cried out to a God he barely knew, making a heartfelt plea for salvation. And against all odds, he was spared from the firing squad.
