Former PDP Chairman Now Emerges As APC New State Chairman

The former state chairman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, has been affirmed as the new State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his recent resignation from the PDP.

The new Exco was elected during a party congress held on Tuesday in Jalingo, the state capital, attended by the Governor.

The party also elected Hon. Andeta’rang Irammae as the State Publicity Secretary.

In his remarks, Governor Dr Abgu Kefas congratulated the newly elected executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Taraba State chapter, on their emergence.

He commended the party members for a peaceful and successful congress, describing the emergence of the new leadership as a significant step toward strengthening the party’s structure in the state.

He advised the new executives to discharge their responsibilities with fairness and commitment, urging them to do justice to the party in order to attract more people into the APC family.

The Governor emphasized the need for unity, transparency, and grassroots engagement in building a formidable party.

“Let me assure you that his administration would ensure inclusiveness within the party, and that all members would be carried along in its affairs.

“I called on party faithful to remain united and supportive of the new leadership as they work to reposition the APC in Taraba State – he said.

The appointments reflect a realignment of political structures in the state after the defection of several top PDP officials and lawmakers.
