Former Brighton Manager Roberto De Zerbi Joins French Side Marseille

Former Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi has been announced as Marseille’s new head coach.

“Agreement in principle between Olympique de Marseille and Roberto De Zerbi.

Olympique de Marseille has announced that it has reached an agreement in principle with Roberto De Zerbi.

The club is currently working with all parties involved to formalize the arrival of the Italian coach and his staff on the OM bench and to prepare for his arrival in Marseille in the coming days.”

Before joining Brighton in 2022 as Graham Potter’s replacement, Roberto had a resplendent coaching career with teams such as Palermo, Benevento, Shakhtar Donetsk, and others.

He has been recommended as either Klopp’s or Guardiola’s replacement due to his transcendent performance with Brighton over two years.

In his last season with Brighton, the 45-year-old saw the team through 50 games, 19 of which were won, 18 lost, and 13 drawn.
