Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has declared that he and the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) are not afraid of anyone ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mohammed made the statement on Thursday during the party’s South-West town hall meeting in Akure, Ondo State.
The governor described the APM as the biggest opposition party in Nigeria, saying the party has two serving governors and a vision for the country.
He said the party’s presidential candidate represents a new face of politics in Nigeria, adding that although the party is young, its members are driven by knowledge, experience and clear plans.
“We are young but we are not young upstairs as we are driven by knowledge, plans, we know where we are coming from and where we want to go,” Mohammed said.

The governor thanked the APM for providing what he described as a political “sanctuary” for him and his political allies after they could no longer remain in their previous political arrangement.
Mohammed said he and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde had remained committed to opposition politics and had “fought their way” through the political process.
“Today we are the biggest opposition in this country with two governors and a vision that we are presenting,” he said.

He urged voters in the South-West to make their choice and support the party’s vision, describing the region as home to the “visionary” political movement.
Mohammed also said the APM’s emergence reflected the party’s belief in political rotation and national unity.
“We are not afraid as opposition, me and him have always come out of opposition, we are not afraid of anybody,” he added.
