Nigerian actress Funke Akindele recently shared why she’s no longer close with Eniola Badmus and other colleagues.
In an interview on Arise TV, Funke explained her approach to friendships in the entertainment industry. She said she has never had serious friends except for her siblings.
“I think of my siblings as my friends. I have people I’m friendly with, but not close friendships. I’m always busy with work. When I’m not working, I’m either sleeping, watching movies, or spending time with my kids and family,” she said.
Funke prefers staying in her own space and doesn’t enjoy going to parties. She runs a studio and is busy with filming, releasing movies in cinemas and on streaming platforms, and creating content for YouTube.
“I have good relationships with my colleagues but enjoy working with certain people,” she added.
When asked specifically about Eniola Badmus, Funke said, “Eniola makes me laugh a lot. I love hanging out with her, but we’ve both been busy with our own lives.”
