Former Black Star player, Raphael Dwamena collapse and dies during a league game

The Ghanaian Football Federation has confirmed the death of their former player, Raphael Dwamena who collapsed and died due to heart failure while representing his club (KF Egnatia) during an Albanian league game against FK Pertizani.

According to reports, Rapheal had been diagnosed with a chronic heart condition but had refused to hang boot.

Until his death, the 28 years old was the league’s top scorer with 9 goals this season.

“Our thoughts are with the family of Raphael Dwamena at this difficult time.

Raphael represented Ghana wholeheartedly and paid his dues to the country until his unfortunate passing.

We will forever miss him for his dedication to the National Course.”
