Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has given an update about the injury of their top scorer Erling Haaland. The manager, while speaking in a pre conference interview
ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with Young Boys, asserted that the Norwegian will be assessed this afternoon to determine the extent of his injury.

Erling was withdrawn at half-time when Manchester City pulverized Bournemouth to a 6-1 victory at the Etihad stadium on Saturday

When Pep Guardiola was asked whether Haaland would be fit enough to feature in Tuesday’s clash at the Etihad Stadium, the boss revealed that he’d held positive conversations with the forward over the weekend.

“I can’t [give an update],” Guardiola told the media in his pre-match press conference.

“We train this afternoon, so I don’t know.

“I speak with the doctor and him. He told me he felt better, but I don’t know.”

He added: “Tomorrow I will listen to doctor. If he says he doesn’t have pain, I will consider letting him play.

“There are lots of days to recover.

“Right now, if Erling doesn’t play, Julian is going to play there.
