Just In: Mother of Famous Hausa Singer Rarara Abducted in Katsina State

Hajiya Halima Adamu, the mother of renowned Hausa singer Dauda Adamu, popularly known as Rarara, has been kidnapped.

The abduction occurred at her residence in Kahutu village, located in the Danja local government area of Katsina State, according to a source from the village.

The source reported that the abduction took place around 1 a.m. on Friday. The bandits, who arrived on foot, carried out the operation silently and without firing a single shot. The entire incident lasted just a few minutes.

“The bandits did not encounter any resistance from Hajiya Halima Adamu when they instructed her to accompany them,” the source said.

“Despite other people being present in the house at the time, the abductors only took Rarara’s mother and left everyone else unharmed. No one dared to confront the armed bandits as they left.”

It is believed that the bandits left their motorcycles at a distance and trekked to the village to avoid detection. The source added, “We are praying for her safe return because she is a significant figure in our community. Her son, Rarara, has done a lot for our village, bringing numerous developments that have improved our lives.”

Attempts to contact Rarara by phone were unsuccessful, as his calls went unanswered.

Katsina State is one of the regions in the North West of Nigeria experiencing a high level of insecurity, with frequent incidents of banditry and kidnapping.
