Don’t Use The Sins Of A Few Others To Judge Tinubu’s Administration- Aliyu Audu

Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Public Affairs Aliyu Audu has appealed to Nigerians to desist from having a negative impression of Tinubu’s administration based on the sins of a few government officials serving in the government.

Audu who stated this while speaking on AriseNews television on Tuesday 16 January 2024, said some people in the government do not really mean well for the administration and that the president who is keen on cutting the cost of governance, would not relent in ensuring that erring government officials face the full wrath of the law if found culpable.

While lamenting on the trend of crowdfunding to pay ransom amid worsening poverty across the country, the Special Assistant said that the president’s decision on the removal of subsidy and other government reforms may have plunged Nigerians into severe hardship, but it was however the best decision the president could have taken in order to better the lot of citizens.

Audu maintained that having served in various capacity, president Bola Tinubu has a distinct style of leadership that has overtime, stood him out among past leaders.

 

While affirming the president’s resolve to reposition the Ajaokua Steel Industry for effective service delivery, the Audu charged Nigerians to believe in the Tinubu led administration as the president meant well by availing himself to serve the country.

Reacting to the ongoing financial saga at the Humanitarian ministry, Audu revealed that there is no sacred cow under Tinubu administration assuring that those involved in the alleged fraud scandal would not be spared.

He further disclosed that after six months of suspending the Social Investment Programmes as part of measures to make it more efficient, much better programmes aimed at addressing poverty would be initiated by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
