America female rapper Cardi B has confirmed that she and her partner Offset are no longer together. The multi award winning star revealed in a live video that she has been single for a while now but has been trying to decide when to tell her followers.
She that she wanted to make this revelation during a previous live video but decided not to.
“I don’t know if y’all have been getting clues from me from my live, I mean… or from my Instagram Stories, where I put certain music.
“When it comes to events and stuff, I don’t think it’s true, I don’t care to find out because I have been single for a minute now. But I have been afraid to like… not afraid but I just don’t know how to tell the world. I feel like today has been like a sign.
“The last time I got on Live I kind of wanted to tell you but I didn’t know how to tell you so I changed my mind. But this has been for a minute now and I just feel like this is a sign. So, I wanna start 2024 afresh… open. I am curious for a new life, for a new beginning. Yeah, I am excited.”
It was gathered that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram a few days back.
The singer also threw some hints via her Instagram Story, which read: “You know when you just outgrow relationships.
“I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings…I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.”
This development is coming in less than two months after Offset gifted Cardi B luxury bags worth about a million dollars to mark her 31st birthday. It also comes less than 3 months after Offset presented Cardi with the most lavish floral display for their wedding anniversary.
The celebrity couple tied the knot in September 2017 and has so far birthed 2 kids. Their union has come under multiple allegations of infidelity on Offset’s part.
It was gathered this isn’t the couple’s first breakup. In January 2018, two months after he properly proposed to Cardi after their first shotgun wedding, Offset was caught in the center of a controversy after videos surfaced showing the rapper in bed with multiple women.
The couple briefly went their separate ways in 2018 but Cardi B forgave him after he begged her on stage during her performance.
Reports say, the latest development may not be unconnected to the series of scandals surrounding their marriage.
