Bolt Announces €628 Million Investment in Transportation Safety

Bolt, a leading ride-hailing platform, has announced a significant investment of €628 million to enhance transportation safety and efficiency.
This initiative highlights the company’s commitment to fostering a safer environment for both drivers and riders.
A key part of this investment is the introduction of a new rider verification feature designed to increase trust between drivers and riders.
This feature will require riders to take a selfie and upload a valid ID, which Bolt will then verify by comparing the selfie with the ID.
This new measure complements Bolt’s existing safety features, which include driver verification, detailed trip information, and comprehensive safety toolkits.
Additionally, the platform actively monitors trips for safety, issuing alerts for prolonged stops and entry into unsafe areas.
The implementation of the rider verification feature is in direct response to driver feedback, highlighting a strong desire for confirmed rider identities.
Bolt’s overall goal with these enhancements is to build mutual trust between drivers and riders, further solidifying the platform’s reputation for safety.
With these robust measures, Bolt continues to prioritize the well-being of its users, setting new standards in the ride-hailing industry.
