Bandits reportedly attacked a place called Gidan Busa in Doka area of Kachia Local Government Area in Kaduna State. This happened on Friday night. They killed two people and took away 16 others.
A person who didn’t want to be named said five people were shot during the attack. They are now getting medical help at a nearby hospital.
This happened shortly after the death of Isyaku Boderia, a well-known bandit leader. He was believed to be behind many serious crimes, including the kidnapping of schoolgirls in Yauri, the attack on Greenfield University, and the breach of the Nigerian Defence Academy.
The Nigerian Army’s 1st Division troops killed Boderia and some of his group members on Wednesday. They did this during a fight in the Bada/Riyawa area of Chikun and Igabi LGAs in Kaduna State.
Despite this, the bandits struck again on Friday night in Gidan Busa. They shot randomly, killing two people and taking 16 others. The attack happened around 11:30 p.m. when people were asleep.
According to the source, in the house of a man named Alhaji Hassan, the bandits took eight people, including his wife and children. They killed one of Hassan’s sons and a woman. This is very sad.
The informant said, “Yesterday night (Friday), bandits came to Gidan Busa and abducted 16 residents of the area, killing two while five sustained gunshot injuries and are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
“In the residence of one Alhaji Hassan, the bandits abducted eight persons, including his wife and children, and killed one of his boys and a female. The incident occurred at about 11.30 p.m. Those who sustained gunshot wounds are receiving treatment in the hospital.”
As of now, the government and the police in Kaduna State have not officially confirmed this incident.
When reached by phone, the Kaduna State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, said he was on vacation and would contact the appropriate authorities for information.
“I’m driving now. I will get back to you once I reach out to the area commander,” he said.
However, at the time of writing this story, the police spokesman had not yet responded to requests for comments.
