Arsenal have emerged as a potential favourite to beat Liverpool to the signing of Paris Saint Germain winger Bradley Barcola, with the Gunners reportedly preparing to strengthen their attack after completing a £75 million deal for Bruno Guimaraes.
Barcola has become one of the main targets for Arsenal this summer as Mikel Arteta seeks to bolster his squad. Liverpool FC are also interested in the France international and have reportedly made a £100million offer, although PSG are demanding £150million for the winger.
Perry Groves, a former Arsenal forward, feels that Barcola would be a good fit for the North Londoners as he reckons that the Frenchman would have preferred to live in London and that Arsenal can offer him more than PSG as they are in a better position to contend for trophies.
The News Chronicle reports that Arsenal have already strengthened their squad in the summer and are looking to add more attackers after failing to sign Vinicius Junior.
Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong feels that Barcola and Guimaraes are ideal targets for Arsenal as Arteta rebuilds his squad to ensure that they are consistent contenders for the Premier League title and the Champions League.
With the transfer window fast approaching, the situation surrounding Barcola’s future is set to trigger a heated saga between the two Eredivisie giants.
