Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has announced December 11 as the release date for her highly anticipated feature film, The Four: No One Fights Alone.
Akindele announced the project on Monday in a post on her verified Instagram page, @funkejenifaakindele.
Announcing the film, the filmmaker wrote, “IT’S GO TIME!!! On your mark… Get set…GO!!!!
“The relay is ON, and the Funke Akindele Network movie for 2026 is officially… THE FOUR.
“The baton has been passed. The announcement has been made.
“Now… shall we begin?
“It’s time to introduce you to THE FOUR. In all cinemas nationwide.”
According to Akindele, the film was produced by Funke Akindele Network (FAAN TV) and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment.
The Four is an emotionally charged drama that explores friendship, motherhood, resilience and the strength of ordinary women.
The film also examines themes of courage, faith, sacrifice and loyalty, while showcasing aspects of Nigerian culture through music, fashion, language and tradition.
It features an ensemble cast comprising Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan and Wunmi Toriola.

Others include singer Waje, Afrobeats artiste Shoday, Samuel Banks, Kolapo Omotosho and Ayomide Iwasokun.
Akindele’s previous productions include Omo Ghetto: The Saga, Battle on Buka Street, A Tribe Called Judah, Everybody Loves Jenifa and Behind the Scenes, among others.
Through her filmmaking career, she has continued to play a significant role in Nigeria’s creative industry, producing commercially successful stories that showcase Nigerian culture, entertain audiences and inspire emerging filmmakers.
