Air Force Targets Boko Haram Arsenal, Kill scores of Fighters in Borno State

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) achieved a significant victory against Boko Haram in Borno State.

On December 9, the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation Hadin Kai targeted and successfully destroyed a crucial Boko Haram terrorist armory located in Amchile within the Gezuwa area near BAMA Local Government Area.

Zagazola Makama, a publication specializing in counter-insurgency in the Lake Chad region, reported that the operation took place around 1900 hours.

The decision to strike was based on Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions that revealed a substantial presence of Boko Haram fighters in the specified location.

The ISR platform executed the attack in multiple waves, resulting in the destruction of the armory and the elimination of numerous terrorists.

An intelligence source disclosed that the initial wave of attacks directly hit a suspected Boko Haram ammunition depot, causing it to erupt in flames.

Subsequent follow-up attacks successfully targeted and neutralized the remaining Boko Haram members attempting to flee the area.

This operation underscores the commitment of the Nigerian Air Force in the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism, particularly against the notorious Boko Haram group.

The success of this mission demonstrates the effectiveness of intelligence-driven operations and the military’s determination to address security challenges in the region.

The Nigerian Air Force has been consistently delivering substantial blows to the activities of Boko Haram terrorists, dealing them severe setbacks in Borno State.

Their concerted efforts involve continuous aerial bombardments targeting the insurgents’ enclaves, particularly in the Lake Chad area of Borno State.

Notably, the past month has witnessed a significant reduction in the terrorist group’s influence and presence, with numerous casualties reported as a result of these military operations.

The sustained bombings have proven effective in diminishing the capabilities and territorial control of Boko Haram, marking a noteworthy development in the ongoing efforts to curb their menace in the region.
