Adamawa Gov Sends Message to Adeleke After Osun Governorship Re-election

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his victory in the 2026 Osun State governorship election.

Fintiri, in a post on his official X account obtained by The News Chronicle, described Adeleke’s victory as a reflection of the choice made by the people of Osun State.

“Congratulations to Governor @AAdeleke_01 on his victory in the Osun State Governorship Election,” Fintiri wrote.

The Adamawa governor also commended President Bola Tinubu for respecting the democratic process and the decision of the electorate.

He said, “The result reflects the choice of the people of Osun State. I commend President @officialABAT for respecting the democratic process and the will of the electorate.”

Fintiri further wished Adeleke success as he begins another term in office and continues to lead the state.

“May Governor Adeleke succeed in the service of Osun State,” he added.

According to earlier reports by The News Chronicle, Adeleke secured victory in the election with 511,067 votes, defeating the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes.

The African Democratic Congress candidate, Najeem Salaam, came third with 17,180 votes.

The result means Adeleke will serve a second term as governor of Osun State.
