The Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology Aliero Kebbi, has announced the immediate closure of the institution, directing all students and staff to vacate the campus without delay.
In an official memo obtained by The News Chronicle, dated November 22, 2025, and signed by the Registrar, Maiharo Alhaji Tilli, the university stated that the decision was made under the directive of the Vice-Chancellor and takes immediate effect.

According to the statement, all categories of students including postgraduate, undergraduate, diploma, remedial, and IJMB are required to leave the campus within one hour of the notice.
The Security Division has also been instructed to enforce the directive strictly, with orders to remove any student found within hostels or other university facilities after the deadline.
Students residing off-campus, including those in areas such as Gidan Rami, have likewise been advised to vacate their residences to avoid confrontation with university security personnel.
The university did not specify the reason for the abrupt shutdown, stating only that the closure will remain in effect until further notice.
