Pantami Condemns APC Consensus Style, Vows to Challenge Gombe Outcome

Former Nigerian Minister of Communications, Isa Ali Pantami, has condemned the process used in selecting the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Gombe State, describing it as unfair and lacking transparency.
Speaking during an interview with BBC Hausa monitored by The News Chronicle on Wednesday morning, Pantami alleged that many party aspirants across Nigeria have been sidelined through consensus arrangements imposed without proper consultation.
He said the method adopted in the Gombe selection failed to follow due process and did not reflect fairness among party stakeholders.
Pantami further vowed to resist what he described as injustice in the exercise, stating that he and other concerned members were prepared to challenge the “oppression” carried out during the selection.
His comments highlight rising internal tensions within the APC in Gombe State as political activities ahead of future elections begin to gather momentum
