BREAKING: Supreme Court Knocks Out Turaki-Led PDP Faction

In a decisive ruling, the Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal filed by a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Turaki.

Delivering the majority judgment, Justice Stephen Adah held that the party’s convention held in Ibadan on November 15 and 16, 2025, was conducted in defiance of a subsisting court order.

The apex court’s decision effectively brings to an end the legal challenge mounted by the Kabiru Turaki-led group, dealing a significant blow to the faction’s claims and reinforcing the authority of the party’s recognized leadership, The News Chronicle, reports.

Although full details of the court’s reasoning are still emerging, the ruling is expected to carry immediate political implications.

It could reshape internal dynamics within the PDP and further consolidate power around the established leadership structure.
