From The Ashes Of PDP And APC

—

Oftentimes, victory and liberation, like wind, blow from a direction never envisaged. It comes unexpectedly with results and effects, very mind-blowing. Would the poor Nigerians breathe in no time? Would the chains of frustration caused by greedy politicians about to break off their hands and ankles? Would the face masks of impoverishment placed on their nostrils by the wickedness of the political class about to pull off?

In 1999, two political parties held sway at the National level. PDP and APP at the National level with AC at state levels , struggling to breathe. All but PDP had either fizzled or metamorphosed into a new party.

For 16 years, the political space of Nigeria was bestrode by PDP before power was wrestled out of them through a merger of ACN ( Action Congress of Nigeria,) CPC( Congress For Progressive Change) ANPP( All Nigerian Progressive Change) And some fraction of APGA( All Progressive Grand Alliance) that brought APC into being. 10 years into APC reign another merger or coalition is being formed to wrestle power from the ruling party.

In these two coalitions or mergers, PDP has been one of the poaching grounds. One wonders if it would survive this latest poaching that almost weakened its numerical strength, leaving it empty and vulnerable.

From the ashes of PDP, a new Nigeria is emerging. From its ashes, the cry of Nigeria masses would be heeded if the coalescing political class would be decent and sensible enough to harken to sound reason , which its neglect brought us this low.

PDP lost 2023 election because of wrong choice of a flag bearer. Coalition isn’t an end in itself. It is a means to an end, to achieve that desired end the right thing should be done. A coalition that presents Atiku as a flag bearer is a coalition that is dead on arrival. A coalition that is at best cosmetic, a barking toothless bulldog.

Nigerians have had enough of one man’ obsession to become a President at all cost. His obsession has brought one time shinning, sparkling and chubby political party PDP to ruins, a shadow of itself, at best.

He disrupted and bullied everyone into going against the zoning agreement. From 2003 his desire to become the President of Nigeria has never waned, running from one party to another just to achieve such.

For how long would Nigerians contend with such dominance? For two times he had flown the flag of PDP and the results have been everything but successful. Can someone tell him to pause and think if he wants Nigerians to be liberated from the strangulation of this present political vampires or he just wants to achieve his obsessive desire of becoming the president?

If the former is his drive, then he should be selfless in it, kill his desire to contest and support by human assessment the most credible from the bunch of those very desirous of becoming Nigeria President.. Who is this most credible candidate, comparatively speaking? As crystal clear in the minds of the younger generation who desire nothing but a new Nigeria. Ask them, their unique and unanimous chants and echoes of Obi would humble anyone.

He is not a saint and cannot be while living and playing politics in this murky terrain. However, he is the best choice between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Recently, I watched both Mr. Wike and Mr. Rotomi on TV sliced themselves open, and their stinking intestine was very horrible. Are these the people that would lead us to the promise land where corruption would be minimal at worse and obliterated at best?

Now that the wolves according to Wike have left PDP for the coalition party, all eyes are now on Wike either to show capacity in rebuilding PDP or decamp now officially to APC.

If the right and credible candidate is not put forward, the coalition, without mincing words, would be nothing but a vuvuzela effect, an empty noise that would fizzle into an empty space, creating a more enabling atmosphere for the vampires to continue on their jamboree.

Politics, no doubt, is a game of interest. To some, the interest is 100% self-interest and 0% masses interest( The Atikus, The El-Rufias, The Amaechis, The Renos, The Bwalas, etc.). To others, 50% self-interest and 50% Masses’ interest. While to few, 10% self-interest and 90% masses interest. This is where I see Obi.. my personal view anyway.

Go through the political antecedents of all of them, beyond these facades of “Nigerians are hungry” poem they are reciting, lies their real colours. They have divided us along tribal and religious lines for the longest time, using the masses claws to get nuts from the furnace for their personal use.

Now is the time to pull ourselves by our shoestrings out of this mess. None of these political shylocks can. Trust me!

2027! Either we pull ourselves from this mess or we get sunk further into the mess. Our liberation is in our hands, trade it off for peanuts and remain perpetually enslaved, reject the peanut now, our Eldorado is assured.

From the major ashes of APP, ANPP, AC, CPC, ACN, and minute ashes of PDP, Nigerians were cowed, beaten, and bitten into poverty and hunger through the vehicle of APC.

From same ashes with PDP providing the majority of ashes now, Nigerians would be redeemed if right choices are made.

70% of those that constitute the coalition had their first root in PDP. What an irony! A situation of rebuilding what one destroyed!

2027, an interesting political drama, unfolding, and its end result would shock many.
