Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has extended his contract with Leicester City until 2027 becoming the club’s longest serving manager.
He played a key role in aiding the Foxes’ return to the English top-flight league after winning the Championship title last season. He has made 273 appearances for City in all competitions, scoring 17 goals.
Since joining from Belgian side Genk in January 2017, the Nigeria international has lifted the Emirates FA Cup, FA Community Shield, and most recently, the Championship title with the club. His new contract will extend his stay at Leicester City beyond a decade.
Speaking to LCFC.com, Ndidi said: “I feel great, I feel excited, I feel at home. That’s the most important thing. I feel really happy to continue with the club. My family is settled here and everyone back home, when they say Ndidi, they say Leicester also! It’s really amazing to be a part of this journey going forward.”
