Police Apprehend Notorious Kano Drug Dealer ‘Badoo’ Along with 8 Accomplices

A notorious drug dealer known by the alias ‘Badoo’, whose real name is Sadam Mu’azu, along with eight of his associates, were apprehended following a prolonged period of investigation and surveillance by the Kano state police command.
The arrest came as a result of dedicated efforts from law enforcement teams led by Officer in Charge of Anti-Daba Unit, SP Hussaini Gimba, and DPO of Sharada Police Division, CSP Bilyaminu Bello.
Sadam Mu’azu, aged 33 and residing in Tukuntawa Quarters, Kano, had been on the police’s radar for quite some time due to numerous complaints from the community regarding his involvement in drug peddling.
Reports from residents implicated him as a key figure in the receipt and distribution of illicit drugs, particularly cannabis, within the area, targeting vulnerable demographics such as young individuals and housewives.
The successful operation, which led to the arrest of ‘Badoo’ and his accomplices on April 22, 2024, was the culmination of meticulous surveillance and strategic planning by law enforcement authorities.
During the raid, various pieces of incriminating evidence were recovered, including 11 parcels suspected to contain Indian Hemp, a cutlass, five motorcycles believed to be used for drug sales and distribution, and a sum of over N111,500 in cash suspected to be proceeds from their illegal activities.

Mamuda was found in possession of 12 nylon bags containing suspected Indian Hemp concealed beneath his jacket.
He confessed to the crime and is currently awaiting further investigation at the Kano State Police Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The statement released by the police assured that once investigations were concluded, all suspects would face trial in court, demonstrating the commitment of law enforcement authorities to uphold justice and combat drug-related crimes in the state.
