Victor Boniface set to return to action next week

Victor Boniface, who has been sidelined due to injury, will be returning to action next week. His return date was confirmed after he sustained an injury while wishing his teammate good luck during Leverkusen’s match against Qarabag Agdam in the UEFA Europa League round of 16. 

In an 8-second video posted on the club’s official Facebook page titled ‘Our Boniface’ featuring the Nigerian flag, Boniface expressed his intention to return to action should soon:

“Hello guys, I wish you all the best of luck. I’ll be supporting you from home and hope for a win. See you back in Leverkusen next week.”

Boniface hasn’t played in any of Bayer Leverkusen’s matches since being excluded from the Nigeria national team squad for the AFCON in CĂ´te d’Ivoire.

Before the AFCON final, a video surfaced online showing Boniface and Victor Osimhen discussing their plans for the final, with Boniface indicating his intention to attend after Nigeria’s qualification.
