A 39-year-old woman reported to have given birth 19 children is pregnant with her twentieth child.
Simply identified as Martha, the women who hails from Medellin, Colombia revealed that she does not intend to stop giving birth even after expecting her 20th child.
Martha disclosed that she wants to keep having children until her body naturally stops to conceive.
Even though it was gathered that she conceived all of her kids with different men, reports say, seventeen of her children are below the age of 18.
In an expression of joy for motherhood, Martha was quoted as saying; “I see being a mom like a business, practically”.
She stated that because she has so many children, the money she gets barely covers the cost of raising and caring for them. However, her government supports her financially to cater for each child.
“The truth is, as the government helps me for each child, I receive a little money for each one,” she noted.
According to her, an equivalent of $76 is usually for her eldest children and around $30.50 for the youngest ones.
It was said that, each month, the Colombian state pays her around $510 to care for her children as she also receives financial assistance from the local church and her neighbors.
Martha further emphasized that the reason she will continue to have children until her “body doesn’t allow it,” is that her current set of kids will “leave home when they grow up.”
Meanwhile, she revealed that life in the small three-bedroom house can be inconvenient, being that the eldest child has had to sleep on the sofa.
While stressing that she sometimes struggles to provide enough meals for everyone on a limited budget, Martha added that she will not stop in giving birth to more kids because it is something she considers, “profitable”.
