2027: Borno APC Rallies Behind Tinubu, Shettima

—

Leaders and key figures of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Borno State have declared their full backing for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as the party’s standard-bearers for the 2027 presidential race.

The endorsement was reached through a unanimous decision during a high-level stakeholders’ gathering held in Maiduguri on Saturday.

Among those in attendance were Governor Babagana Zulum, Minister of Agriculture Sen. Abubakar Kyari, Sen. Mohammed Monguno, Sen. Ali Ndume, and the APC Deputy National Chairman, Bukar Dalori. The meeting also drew participation from members of the House of Representatives, State Assembly lawmakers, former commissioners, local government chairmen, and party executives across various levels.

Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, Dalori emphasized that the endorsement reflected a collective position across the state, stressing that it underscored the unity within the party and widespread confidence in its leadership.

In the same vein, Zulum reaffirmed the state’s unwavering support for Tinubu and Shettima, pledging total commitment to securing APC’s success in the 2027 general elections.

The governor also highlighted his administration’s dedication to fairness and justice, calling for sustained unity to drive continued development in the state.

Expressing profound gratitude to his political mentor, the Vice President, Zulum reiterated his loyalty, noting that he held Shettima in the highest regard after his parents.

He, however, advised party aspirants in the state to remain calm and measured, reminding them that power ultimately comes from God, who determines leadership.

Zulum further urged them to stay united, trust in God, and work collectively for the progress of both the party and the state.
