Zinoleesky Allegedly Leaves Marlian Music as Qing Madi Slams Ex-Label Over ‘Pepper Me’

Nigerian singer Zinoleesky has reportedly parted ways with Naira Marley and his record company, Marlian Music.

In a message shared via social media, Zinoleesky wrote: “I am standing up not just for myself but for every artist who has ever felt powerless or taken advantage of. We deserve better. We deserve transparency, fairness…” However, the statement did not directly mention Marlian Music or Naira Marley, and it bore no detailed public clarification from the artist confirming the exact terms of his exit.

This has led to mixed reactions among listeners, with some expressing support for his independence while others question whether the separation is final.

The development comes nearly two years after the death of Mohbad in September 2023, a period that continues to alter public perception of Marlian Music and its artists.

Shortly before his alleged exit, Zinoleesky appeared on “Pepper Me,” a collaborative single released on April 17, 2026, alongside Qing Madi and music act KFMD.

Qing Madi accuses former label of interference

Separate from Zinoleesky’s situation, Qing Madi publicly raised concerns about her former label, JTon Music.

In a statement posted on Wednesday, April 22, the 19-year-old singer alleged that the company removed “Pepper Me” from Spotify despite its performance on the platform.

“I don’t come on the internet to complain ever… all I do is keep pushing my music,” she wrote, adding that she believes the song will be restored.

She also stated that the label had previously filed a $1 million lawsuit against her, which she said was unsuccessful. According to her account, the dispute has persisted despite her focus on releasing new music.

As of the time of reporting, JTon Music has not issued a public response to the allegations.

Zinoleesky is reportedly operating under his newly introduced label, Zinodict Music, while Qing Madi is no longer associated with JTon Music and appears to be working independently.
