Worshippers abducted from mosque in Zamfara by bandits

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, some bad people, known as bandits, took away many people who were praying in a mosque in Gusau Town, located in Zamfara State.
These people were praying a special prayer called tahajjud, which happens during the night. But the police in Zamfara State have not said anything about what happened yet.
This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. There have been other times when bandits attacked people praying in mosques.
Just a few weeks ago, in late February, about 40 people were taken away by bandits while they were praying in a mosque in Tsafe town, which is in Zamfara State too.
It seems the bandits are becoming bolder. They don’t just attack mosques in Zamfara State; they do it in other places too.
Last month, for example, they went to a mosque in Birnin Gwari, which is in Kaduna State, and they killed two people who were praying there. This happened in the afternoon, around 2:00 pm, on a Friday.
When they attacked the mosque in Birnin Gwari, the bandits wore clothes like the local people, so they could blend in and not be noticed easily.
They came on motorcycles and left them outside the town before entering. This made it easier for them to surprise the people in the mosque.
These attacks are very scary for the people who live in these areas. They just want to pray peacefully in their mosques without worrying about terrorists coming to hurt them.
The police and the government need to do something to protect them and make sure they can practice their religion safely.
