The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, said he wants to make a special team called the FCT Rapid Response Team. This team will help with security problems in Abuja.

He talked with General Christopher Musa about this on Friday. He said the team will have people from the Army, Police, Department of State Services (DSS), and Civil Defence. They will all work together to fight crime better.

Wike thinks it’s important to give the rapid response team the best technology to help them fight crime in Abuja. He wants to make sure they have everything they need to do a good job.

General Musa said the military will help with this idea. They want to have a special team that can help if there’s a big problem and the other security forces need help.

Our aim is to provide a standby force to supplement existing security forces in case of overwhelming situations.”

General Musa said they’re planning to have a team with soldiers on the ground and helicopters in the air. This way, they can be ready to help anytime, day or night.

These plans show that the FCT Administration and security forces are working together to make Abuja safer for everyone who lives there or visits.
