Who will marry the Nigerian ladies that Moses Bliss, Tim Godfrey, Theophilus Sunday used and dumped, Ossai asks

—

Ossai Ovie Success, the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, has stirred discussion on social media with a Facebook post highlighting the trend of Nigerian gospel singers marrying foreign nationals for citizenship.

In his post, Success pointed out specific instances of gospel artists marrying individuals from abroad. He cited examples such as Moses Bliss marrying a London-based Ghanaian, Tim Godfrey marrying an American woman, and the impending marriage of gospel singer Theophilus Sunday to a Jamaican woman based in the USA.

Success noted that all these artists had previously been in relationships with Nigerian women before marrying foreigners. He raised the question of what would become of these Nigerian women who were once romantically involved with the artists but were ultimately “dumped” in favor of international marriages.

The post has garnered attention on social media platforms, sparking debates about relationships, citizenship, and the motivations behind international marriages among public figures.

While none of the gospel singers mentioned have responded publicly to Success’s comments, the post sheds light on broader societal issues concerning love, marriage, and migration in Nigeria.
