Arise Monalisa Foundation and One Percent International to Empower Hundreds of Women in the Society

Arise Monalisa Foundation in collaboration with One Percent International Management is working to empower more than 300 women in the society. They are organizing a conference tagged: Count Her In. This is in tandem with the IWD and its theme of inclusion for women. The event will be held on the 28th of March, 2024, at Wells Carton Hotel, Asokoro, Abuja.

The founder of Arise Monalisa Foundation, Monalisa Chinda and the Chief Executive Officer of One Percent International, Amb. Stephanie Nnadi, gave details behind the foundation’s support and how people can benefit from it.

Minalisa Chinda who has been running the Foundation for over a decade said the objectives, are to inspire and nuture talents and potentials in women and children and create pathways to inclusion and prosperity for them. The Foundation also highlighted its women empowerment programmes as well as its services for female and young entrepreneurs.

She said: “I am collaborating with One percent to reach out to young people that are doing business. We are not restricted to any particular persons, we want to help women to grow their businesses.

“The help will be through training and other avenue. We are giving them monetary grant, but we will monitor them to see how they grow.”

On the process for selection, Chinda and Nnadi said that they have a website where people who are interested in the programme register. They also mentioned that they had gone to universities to talk to students and were amazed by the creativity and potential they saw.

Nnadi emphasized that even though they are offering grants, they expect beneficiaries to pay forward the favor by growing their enterprise, and products and helping others in the future.

Chinda said: “We will select the people that will benefit that day. This is strictly for business. We want them to grow. We will put experts and consultants to monitor them. What we are giving them is free. But we will monitor them to see how they grow.”

The organisers also called for sponsorship and support from individuals, corporate bodies, and the government.
