Jack Dorsey, the founder of twitter wakes up early to meditate and then goes on a 6 mile run. He also apparently walks five miles to work in the morning to clean his mind. Okay, I use these guys as a prelude to the article. They are some of the movers and shakers in the world and some of the men who have contributed immensely to the world we live in.

However, the article is about you and your morning routine. What do you do in the morning and how does this enhance or influence your day? What do you wake up to enjoy?

Exercise or bedxercise

Early morning exercise before breakfast is good, if you plan a gentle steady workout. Your muscles are most efficient when working off of carbohydrates, which are depleted after a night of fasting. Early morning exercise gets your body burning stored fat in place of carbohydrates. So, if you are looking to lose weight, start now. It is good for you!

Basically, your body burns more calories after your workout, even when you’re sitting at a desk or driving in your car. One study showed that participants burned an extra 190 calories in the 14 hours after exercise when compared to those who didn’t exercise at all!

Mental health

Exercise is one of the most effective ways to improve your mental health. Regular exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on depression, anxiety, productivity and more. It also relieves stress, improves memory, helps you sleep better, and boosts your overall mood. It gets you pumped up and ready for the day. Exercise sharpens your brain and improves your focus.

A routine of early morning exercise allows you to plan your day better. The mind is free and fresh, having dusted off the cobwebs. You have a clear head and think straight after your exercise program. You will have created a strong habit of morning exercise, your metabolism flowing, your body is looking and feeling better, you’re sleeping well at night, and your mind is as sharp as ever. This way your productivity level goes through the roof and you achieve more.

You make more money!

What about sex?

Sex is pleasurable and good for you.Sex reduces stress levels so lowering your risk of cancer and heart attacks. Sex facilitates bonding and feelings of intimacy with your partner. This kind of connectedness does more than make you feel warm and fuzzy; it actually reduces anxiety and boosts your overall health.

You go to work feeling like a million dollars.

Sex lowers blood pressure. Many studies have documented a link between intercourse specifically and lower systolic blood pressure. That’s good news for individuals looking for an easy adjunct to lifestyle (diet, exercise, stress reduction) and medication strategies to get blood pressure into a healthy range. Sex sessions cannot replace blood-pressure lowering drugs to control high blood pressure, but they may be a useful addition.

Bedxercise?

Like every other kind of physical activity, sex burns calories, too! Having sex increases your heart rate and utilizes various muscle groups, burning about 5 calories per minute. Sexual activity helps keep levels of hormones, like estrogen and testosterone, in check. One study in men showed that those who had sex at least 2 times a week were 50% less likely to die of heart disease than their less sexually active peers.

Want a healthier heart? Have more sex.Regular sex cannot replace sessions at the gym, but having an active, healthy sex life is a nice way to get some extra physical activity.

But, what does early morning sex do for you?

It’s a way better alternative to a morning workout before hopping into the shower. Scientists confirm that an hour of sex burns almost as many calories as a 30-minute jog. Researchers from the University of Cincinnati found that morning sex is a natural stress-reliever and these effects can last for at least seven days, meaning your early Monday romp could ease those Sunday Blues.
