We will give our best tomorrow, Jose Peseiro promises Nigerians

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has assured Nigerians that the team will give its best tomorrow when they clash against Equatorial Guinea during their group A opener game. 

In his press conference ahead of tomorrow’s game, Jose Peseiro assured that the team won’t let them down.

“To play for Nigeria is not easy, 200 million football fans want to win, and we need to answer with good results on the pitch.

“I don’t speak about our last results, I speak about how we can improve our results. We create always and we need that balance.

“We will give our best in tomorrow’s game.”

The 2023 African Cup of Nations tournament will begin today as the host nation Cote D’ Ivoire clashes against Guinea-Bissau at exactly 9pm Nigeria time.

The Super Eagles who are seeking their fourth title, will be in action in the second match day one against Equatorial Guinea tomorrow at exactly 3pm Nigerian time.
