A meeting was hosted by President Bola Tinubu on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja between state governors, including Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State. The meeting was convened to address economic hardships and insecurity issues in different parts of Nigeria.
However, during the meeting, Vice President Kashim Shettima requested Governor Fubara to greet Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This request caused a mildly awkward situation, possibly indicating tension between Governor Fubara and Minister Wike.
Despite efforts to broker peace, tensions persist between Wike and Fubara, stirred by a power struggle over leadership in Rivers State.
