A Pastor from Warri, Delta State, Richard Ifeanyi Obi has died while on a mission to perform spiritual activities for a family in Awka, Anambra State Capital.
The pastor was found lying lifeless at about 4:30 pm in a room at No 5 Onuorah Street Amaenyi, Awka, the home of one Ikechukwu Uchendu whom he came to conduct family prayers in his house.
Uchendu had reported the incident to Central Police Station Awka and Police detectives attached to CPS Awka had visited the scene, Police Spokesperson in Anambra, Haruna Mohammed said.
According to him, the victim had been photographed and rushed to the hospital where he was certified dead by the medical doctor.
He further revealed that the corpse had been deposited in a mortuary at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku-Awka for autopsy and a discreet investigation launched, to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident.
