UDUS Alumnus Agitates for Online Transcript Processing for Graduates

An alumnus of the most peaceful university, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS), Anas Chika urged the management to implement an online transcript processing for graduates of the university.

He believes it would greatly facilitate the ease and timeliness of obtaining transcripts.

This concerned graduate of MBBS, Anas made the request in an open letter to the school management on behalf of other graduates. He stated how UDUS graduates lost many valuable opportunities like scholarships, postgraduate and professional development courses due to the nature of the process.

Part of the request letter reads, “As you may be aware, transcripts are critical for applications to postgraduate programs, job opportunities, and other career advancement prospects. However, the current process of obtaining transcripts can be cumbersome and time-consuming, often requiring physical presence on campus subjecting graduates to untold hardship and unnecessary delay.”

Anas gave a torching instance, “I lost an opportunity to secure a scholarship for studying an MBA with IGNOU last year. In the same vein, I and a colleague of mine lost a similar opportunity to secure a Mastercard Foundation scholarship to study an online master in one health by Edinburgh university.”

Moreover, Anas cited, “University of Ilorin has just made the process of obtaining transcript by their graduates fully online and easy to access. We believe UDUS will do so promptly.”

“Dear UDUS, by providing an online means of processing transcripts, the university would be offering a valuable service to its graduates, enabling us to access our transcripts efficiently and effectively. This would not only enhance our overall experience as alumni but also reflect positively on the university’s commitment to innovation and student success,” the letter contained.
