UCL REVIEW: Manchester United, Arsenal, and Napoli suffered defeat

The match day two of the European first-tier tournament was held last night. In the first phase of watch day two, 8 games were featured, 28 goals scored across all stadiums, with 7 wins and a draw.

The biggest surprise was the game between Manchester United and Galatasaray at Old Trafford as the Red Devils went through another session of shame, losing at home to Galatasaray by 2-3 at full time. Rasmus Höglund scored United both goals, while Wilfred Zaha and Icardi were on the scoresheet for the visiting side. Manchester United are at the bottom of their group with zero points after two games.

Another offset game was Arsenal losing away at Lens following their first loss of the season. Gabriel Jesus through Saka’s assist scored Arsenal’s early goal, which was neutralized just before half-time. Arsenal lost Saka to a worrying injury in the first half and were beaten 2-1 at full-time.

Los Blancos came from behind to defeat Napoli in a five-goal thriller match in Naples. Vinícius Jr. scored his first UCL goals and Madrid’s most reliable player in front of goal, Jude Bellingham, also registered a goal. Napoli’s goals came from Norwegian defender Ostigard and Zielinski who converted from the spot kick. Madrid stole all three points following Meret’s horrible own goal.
