My people, WITNESS 2026.
Leadership is not freedom to do as you please.
Leadership is responsibility to serve a purpose greater than yourself.
A visionary leader asks 4 questions:
1. What are we building?
2. Who will benefit?
3. Will it stand after I leave?
4. What legacy are we leaving?
True vision builds for the future.
It means shared purpose, accountability, integrity, and courage.
Yes, a visionary leader must be bold.
They will challenge old systems.
They will take calculated risks.
They will lead people into new territory.
But hear me:
Boldness without ethics is recklessness.
Innovation without accountability is destruction.
Authority without restraint becomes abuse.
The most dangerous thing in leadership today is IMPUNITY the idea that “rules are for others, not for me.”
When that happens:
Processes are ignored.
Questions are called rebellion.
Correction is called disrespect.
And personal interest replaces national purpose.
That is not leadership. That is ego.
A nation cannot depend on one man’s personality.
A nation must depend on
PRINCIPLES. STRUCTURES. TRANSPARENCY. RESPONSIBILITY.
The strongest leader is not the one who cannot be questioned.
The strongest leader is the one who can be questioned without getting angry.
The strongest leader does not ask, “How powerful am I?”
The strongest leader asks, “How responsibly am I using the trust given to me?”
Because leadership is stewardship.
And every steward will give account.
“For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required.” Luke 12:48
Nigeria, WITNESS 2026.
As we approach 2027, let us demand leadership with:
CONSCIENCE. COMPETENCE. CHARACTER.
Anything less will destroy what we are trying to build.
God bless Nigeria.
