Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, on Monday attended the inauguration of the campaign office of the Allied Peoples Movement presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, in Abuja.
The campaign office was inaugurated in the Federal Capital Territory as political parties intensify preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
At the event, the National Leader of the APM and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, warned Nigerians against underrating the party and its presidential candidate.
Mohammed said the party was prepared to challenge the established political forces in the 2027 election, describing Makinde as one of the best human resources produced by Nigeria.

“Whoever disregards us is at his own peril. We are here to reset Nigeria, and we are bringing in one of the best human capitals that Nigeria has ever produced at the sub-national and national level, and that is Makinde,” he said.
A video from the event showed Obi seated beside Mohammed during the inauguration.
Obi’s presence at the event comes amid ongoing efforts by opposition politicians and parties to build a united front ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
