American pop star Taylor Swift has reached another musical milestone.
She has surpassed British singer Ed Sheeran to become the most followed artist in Spotify’s history, with 114.6 million followers.
Swift also holds the record for the highest-grossing music tour ever. Her ‘Eras’ tour made over $1 billion, breaking the previous record held by Elton John’s farewell tour, which earned $939 million (£749 million) over 328 shows.
In December 2023, Swift set a new Guinness World Record by becoming the first musician to become a billionaire solely from music earnings.
