Nigeria’s Super Eagles are pushing for another strong outing as they prepare to face Jordan national football team in an international friendly in Antalya, following their recent win over Iran.
Following his team’s 2-1 triumph over Iran, with Moses Simon and Akor Adams scoring, head coach Eric Chelle approaches the match with fresh optimism. As the crew goes through its reconstruction period, the outcome has raised spirits.
The team still needs some modifications, though. Francis Uzoho is expected to replace injured Maduka Okoye; changes in defence will be needed after recent absences. Experienced names like Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi are still meant to anchor the team nevertheless.
Having performed well in recent games against top opposition and defeated regional opponents, Jordan arrives as a sure-footed side.
Their persistent increase adds more intensity to what is anticipated to be a fiercely contested match.
As Chelle assesses his team depth and tactical alternatives in advance of next events, this meeting is more than only friendly.
The match offers another chance for Nigeria to regain confidence and create momentum in the wake of recent defeats with many new faces wanting to prove themselves.
Both teams have shared past meetings, setting the stage for a balanced contest as Nigeria looks to maintain its unbeaten run and close the camp on a high note.
