Nigeria’s Super Eagles have retained their 26th position in the latest FIFA men’s world rankings released on Thursday, June 11.
Éric Chelle’s side featured in four international matches during the period, including two at the Unity Cup invitational tournament in London, where they secured a 2-0 win over Zimbabwe and a commanding 3-0 victory against Jamaica.
In June friendlies, Nigeria played out a 2-2 draw with Poland in Warsaw before falling 2-1 to Portugal in Leiria on Wednesday night.
Despite the mixed results, the Super Eagles remain third in Africa, behind Morocco and Senegal, with Algeria and Egypt completing the continental top five.
On the global stage, the top five positions remain unchanged, with reigning world champions Argentina still leading the rankings ahead of Spain, France, England, and Portugal.
