Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Prof. Abubakar Suleiman, has given a cautious endorsement of the current National Assembly, describing its performance under Senate President Godswill Akpabio as “fairly well.”
In an interview with Channels Television monitored by The News Chronicle on Tuesday, the former Minister of National Planning acknowledged persistent friction among the three arms of government but emphasized that the legislature must prioritize core national concerns ⇑particularly insecurity, tax reform, and issues directly affecting citizens.
Addressing his political ambitions, the former governorship aspirant issued a blunt warning to the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying it would be “suicidal” for the party to zone its governorship ticket to Kwara North.
