Soludo Pledges Enhanced Collaboration with UNIZIK for Educational Growth

The Anambra State Government has vowed its continued collaboration with the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, towards the realization of the state’s vision for the advancement of the state’s education sector.

 

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, gave the assurance while hosting the seventh Substantive Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Prof. Bond Anyaehie, at the Governor’s Lodge on Sunday.

 

Recall that the Nnamdi Azikiwe University had last week, announced the appointment of a substantive Vice-Chancellor on Sunday, 16 November, 2025..

 

At a press briefing in Abuja, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Olugbenga Kukoyi, announced Prof. Bond Anyaehie’s appointment, describing the process that threw him up as VC as “thorough and transparent.”

 

“I am pleased to announce Professor Bond Anyaehie as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University after a thorough and transparent process,” Kukoyi said.

 

Soludo, after meeting with Anyaehie, praised the transparent process that led to his appointment as the seventh Substantive Vice-Chancellor of the institution.

 

He said that after reviewing the Vice-Chancellor’s impressive curriculum vitae, there is no doubt that he is the right person to lead the university to greater heights.

 

Welcoming Prof. Bond to Anambra State, the governor urged individuals interested in public service to emulate the transparency and integrity demonstrated in Prof. Bond’s selection as UNIZIK’s seventh Substantive Vice-Chancellor.
