Show Us Your Plan for Nigeria’s Economy, Not Election Rigging Complaints— Giwa Challenges ADC

The National Coordinator of Advocates Peoples Rights and Justice, Victor Giwa, has said the growing wave of defections among Nigerian politicians exposes the absence of clear ideological differences among the country’s political parties.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News monitored by The News Chronicle, Giwa criticised opposition parties for failing to effectively play their role in the nation’s democratic space.

He argued that rather than presenting alternative policy directions, opposition parties have largely focused on accusing the ruling party of planning to rig elections.

Giwa challenged the opposition to clearly articulate their policy positions on key national issues.

“What is the ADC’s programme on security and the economy? What is their plan to tackle unemployment?” he asked. “All we hear from the opposition is that the ruling party wants to rig elections.

What Nigerians want is for the opposition to unveil concrete plans on how they intend to address the country’s socio-economic challenges.”
