Celebrated stand-up comedian AY Makun has responded to the accusations made against him by contentious afrobeat musician Seun Kuti.
Early on Wednesday morning, Seun Kuti revealed why he threw a party after the comedian AY’s house caught fire earlier in the year, along with other accusations he made against the comedian.
Seun Kuti claims that AY called his daughter a dog in a number of jokes about him and his Daughter.
Seun said that AY used his situation to mock him “They said I laughed when AY Makun’s house burned down, but if you follow me often, you’d know that the day his house caught fire, I went live without delay.”
“As they were trying to extinguish the fire, I was live, except for the moment you portrayed my daughter as a dog in your skit video, making jokes about my trials and tribulations.”
In response to the accusations, AY said in a video that he had never called the artist’s daughter a dog. He said that the video Suen referred to as the skit in which he called his daughter a dog is fake and that he bases the most of his gags on popular culture.
AY claims he turned Hilda Baci’s dog-eating controversy into a comedy after she was exposed by a dog enthusiast for preparing and consuming dogs as a delicacy.
His post on instagram reads: Amongst every good thing that has happened in my life and career in recent times, this year has also offered me to many as an unfortunate victim of unforseen serial circumstances.The more I try to avoid the animosity and incessant attacks, the more I see myself as a programmed misery meal made from the recipe of some collective and very intentional chefs.
Before they say to you guys bon appétit’ with a smiling face and victory song, Can you all please bear the hunger for a few more minutes and ask real questions concerning all the ingredients that brought this meal to the table?
I promised I wasn’t going to respond to @bigbirdkuti not until he mentioned me calling his child a dog. He also labeled me as a wife beater, and ONLY God sees and knows where all that came from.
For me, children are completely off-limits. They are our most valuable resource. They are the deposits we make here on earth to carry our names when we are no longer around. Their mothers doubles as our wives and the very best help mates that we all cherish as men.

Although some people agreed that SEUN was quite emotional about the whole situation, others agreed that AY was wrong and should apologize rather than explaining himself.
